My Story
I was an active Samaritans volunteer for a number of years at the Hull Branch, and am still loosely affiliated in an IT Support capacity.
Samaritans are contactable 24/7 for anyone who might be struggling with life’s difficulties. We are there to listen to anyone, in confidence and without judgement. Our vision is that fewer people die by suicide.
The branch takes over 10,000 calls a year. We are all volunteers and have to totally fund the branch ourselves. Your donations will help us run the branch which includes training new volunteers, spreading the message of what we do locally and paying the bills. Every donation is very greatly received and goes directly to the Hull branch.
